When you visit the Longshadow Ranch website the first thing you notice is the draft horses. This ranch as been working the land with draft horses for 6 generations and continues the practice today.  This family run winery and ranch offers horse-drawn carriage wine tasting trips through their vineyards with their team of Belgian Draft Horses.

The ranch is a family business run by the Brodersen family.  John Brodersen is the winemaker.  They currently grow Syrah, Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Merlot.

They offer tastings Monday through Friday from 12-5 and Saturday and Sunday 10-5.  Seeing the Belgian Draft Horses and visiting the petting zoo make this a family destination.  They have a picnic garden that is a protected habitat and bird sanctuary that makes a relaxing place to take a break in wine country.  During the summer there is music on the weekends.
