I've been catching up with some writing Nd spendin

I've been catching up with some writing Nd spending time reliving our visit to Mudgee NSW Australia.
This is not the first town you think of when you think of New South Wales. It's a bit of a trek to get here, traveling inland through the blue mountains or through the Goulburn National Forest as we did. This bowl, this "nest in the hills", is great for wine grapes and the town of Mudgee...well it will quickly wine you over with it's charm. I'll continue to write and reminisce...you will need to watch for our overview, coming out soon. @mudgeeregion

Tonight...a delicious and affordable weeknight win

Tonight...a delicious and affordable weeknight wine. CMS...cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot & syrah. $14.00. From the Columbia Valley in Washington State. We paired it with gouda and herb roasted red potatoes and bacon wrapped fillets and chocolate cake.

Dessert@ simple...right out of the container but delicious@ especially with these wines! A 2018 Rose from @synclinewinery and a 2014 Extra Brut from @gloriaferrerwines !

In my glass (es) tonight a 2018 Syncline Rose ( 44

In my glass (es) tonight a 2018 Syncline Rose ( 44% Mourvedre 28% Cinsault 28% Grenache) and a 2014 Gloria Ferrer Extra Brut. We paired with a caprese style salad of greens, avocado, mozzarella and nectarine and a noodle bowl with shrimp, bok choy, brocolli, mukimame, red pepper, garlic, carrot, a broth of dragon green tea, miso, and soy with rice noodles and seaweed. The rose was light and tasting it with the sparkling cleansed my palate bring forth the fruit notes. Both went well with the food for different reasons. The sparkling as a refreshing palate cleanser, the rose pulling forth the umami in the food and the food pulling forth fruit and floral in the wine. All in all lovely pairings all around....oh wait...there is still dessert! Coming soon! @gloriaferrerwines

Had to share this fun shot of me and Loki from our shoot yesterday with the fabulous RuBen Permel. RuBen made me feel pretty AND he bonded with Loki, getting a head butt after this shot! (See! He does like you RuBen!)
